Masons present £15,000 to Young Carers

Young Carers across Edinburgh and the Lothians have been boosted by a donation of £15,000 thanks to the Provincial Grand Lodge of Midlothian.
As their chosen charity for 2006, the money was raised during a series of fund-raising efforts during 2006 and the cash will provide Young Carers across East Central Scotland with additional help and support.
The cheque was presented during a social evening held at Lodge St. Leonard Lasswade number 580 and making the presentation were Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Barry Nutley and Jim Burnett, Right Worshipful Master of the host Lodge.
Representatives from East Lothian, West Lothian and Mid Lothian were on hand to accept the cash and with Young Carers in Edinburgh also sharing in the donation, each group will receive £3750.
