Rock Trust
We were well entertained by three of the charities staff members, Katriona, Jill and Heather. We were given a tour of the premises with in depth commentaries on how the charity is structured, and operated. Many questions were asked and answered in great detail, relating to how the charity helps look after the many individuals between the ages of 16 and 25 years old who seek their help. The help offered is to help individuals who are homeless and also help prevent many from becoming homeless.
The help received takes the form of for example, a safe place to stay, shower and clothing facilities, food, health and well being advice and if required advice on transport, CV writing, and access to a social worker, medical personnel and legal advice.
We all left feeling that it was a very worthwhile visit as well as having an in depth understanding about the charity which the province is helping raising money for. The evening ended with a presentation to the representatives from the charity by the RWPGM, Bro Tom Smith.
